Brain Shaker Racing is made up of Ash and Claire. Ash rides the bike, and Claire drives the car.
 
We are a self-funded team, although Goodridge have very generously agreed to provide some product sponsorship for the bike during 2010.
 
Anyway, here's more about the people behind the team.    
Ash has always been a motorbike fanatic, from the moment of getting his first motocross bike at the age of 12 he's been addicted to anything with 2 wheels. He took up drag racing in 2005 after riding a road bike for many years and has never looked back.
 
When he's not at the track Ash runs his own business, Motoshine Alloy Polishing, which he set up in 2003. At times, his bike has certainly been the shiniest in the pits!
 
It's well known amongst our friends and family that no vehicle remains un-modified for long once Ash gets his hands on it, a few of the photos below show some of the various 'toys' he's owned, and of course, modified!
 
 
 
 Claire is a self confessed petrol head and has always been interested in bikes and cars, although she has a very girly side too, and curently runs Lady Luck Jewellery, her own jewellery design business in her spare time, and works in Marketing and Project Management full time.
 
After spending a couple of years as a 'pit monkey' for Ash and the bike, Claire decided it was time to take to the track herself, so bought a Trans Am to do some RWYB events with. She soon realised that getting a 2.5 tonne car to go fast wasn't all that easy, so after the first year changed the Trans Am for the altered she drives today.
 
Claire also shares Ash's passion for modifying, the Trans Am didn't last long before it had a new paint job and a few interior mods, and the altered already looks like a completely different vehicle from when it first arrived home!
